Open Gradura on your watch and step onto any Matrix Climbmill, StairMaster, or FTMS gym machine. The app auto-detects the strongest climber via Bluetooth Low Energy without needing your phone.
Climb & Auto-Sync
Monitor your real-time VAM, cadence, and conquered landmarks. Once you stop and save, your workout syncs natively to Garmin Connect with custom climbing graphs and intensity minutes.
Every Metric You Need.
Zero Compromises.
Tired of gym stairmasters that can't sync with Garmin Connect? Gradura bridges the gap with native Bluetooth FTMS and custom FIT developer telemetry.
Direct Gym Machine Wireless Link
No phone needed. Your Garmin watch pairs directly over Bluetooth Low Energy (FTMS) with Matrix, StairMaster, Technogym, and Life Fitness consoles. It reads real-time step cadence, flywheel speed, and resistance levels with zero perceptible lag.
Native FIT Activity File Recording
Custom climbing fields are injected directly into your official .fit activity log.
View interactive ascent graphs, step distributions, and VAM curves right in the Garmin Connect app.
VAM (m/h) Real-Time Pacing
Track your Velocità Ascensionale Media. Dial in lactate-threshold intervals and steady-state hill simulations with surgical precision.
Manual Stepping & Stair Mode
No Bluetooth machine? Step through resistance levels directly on your watch screen or physical buttons. Accurate step height physics calculates real elevation whether you're in a high-rise tower or stadium stairs.
9 Iconic World Landmarks Challenge
Conquer real-world milestones during your workout. From Prague's Petřín Tower (60m) to the Eiffel Tower (300m), Burj Khalifa (828m), and Mount Everest (8,848m). Feel a distinctive triple haptic buzz every time you conquer a summit!

Frequently Asked Questions.
Clear Answers.
Everything you need to know about Bluetooth machine pairing, FIT files, and Garmin compatibility.
How do I know if my gym ClimbMill supports Bluetooth FTMS? ↓
Look for a Bluetooth symbol on the machine's console or an FTMS / OpenHub / Matrix badge. Most commercial gym climbmills manufactured in recent years—including Matrix C50/C70/Endurance, StairMaster Gauntlet 8/10G with OpenHub, Technogym Live/Artis Climb, and Life Fitness Discover—broadcast the standard Bluetooth FTMS (UUID 0x1826) profile automatically.
Do I need my phone with me while climbing? ↓
No! Gradura runs 100% standalone on your Garmin watch. Your watch's internal Bluetooth radio connects directly to the gym machine's console. You can leave your phone in your gym locker—when you finish and save your workout, your watch syncs directly to Garmin Connect via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth when you're back near your phone.
How does Gradura record workouts into Garmin Connect? ↓
Gradura uses Garmin's official ActivityRecording and FitContributor developer APIs. It writes custom developer telemetry fields into your native .fit file, creating rich graphs in the Garmin Connect app for Total Steps, Elevation Gain, VAM (m/h), and Caloric Burn.
What if my machine has no Bluetooth or I'm climbing building stairs? ↓
Switch to Gradura's Standalone Manual Mode. You can adjust resistance levels directly on-screen or using your watch bezel buttons. Gradura uses calibrated mechanical formulas to track your steps, elevation gain, and landmark milestones anywhere.
What is VAM and why is it important? ↓
VAM (Velocità Ascensionale Media) is the standard metric used by professional cyclists, mountain runners, and vertical climbers to measure vertical ascent speed in meters per hour (m/h). It provides an objective pacing metric independent of horizontal distance.
Does Gradura collect any personal data? ↓
None. Zero external telemetry, zero tracking, and no third-party accounts. All sensor reading and workout aggregation happens entirely on-device and is stored exclusively within your own Garmin Connect account.
Is Gradura free on the Garmin Connect IQ Store? ↓
Yes! Gradura is 100% free to install with no subscriptions, locked features, or ads.
